Flow

The mind flows

Flows endlessly

It’s the rational thought

And contemplation

That will regulate the flow

Act as relevant barriers                                     

In this endless flow and chatter

Else the flow will become a deluge

And take over every aspect

Of life…

Submerging all life essentials

In this unlikely deluge

And with little left to rescue

So the wheels

Of thought and contemplation

Give a momentum

A direction

To this flow

 

Moment

The moment is wonderful

Yet did I realize the wonder

And  kept on waiting

For another wonderful moment

Rather than living in the present

Painting a picture of

A rosy future

And spoiling  a perfect

Present moment..

Moments

The moments keep

Passing by

And I keep on waiting

To catch the moment

That I aspired for

When time itself

Slipped by

In this wait

For that desired time

In my favorite space..

 The moment of grace

It’s the moment

When everything falls in place

When the thoughts meet action

Easily

And proceed with a lot of aplomb

Knowing where they need to go

They reach the destination

Easily

And there is a grace in the sprightly walk

A smile on the face

And a whistle on the lips

As everything falls in place

Easily and effortlessly

Unexpected

Unexpected catches

And unexpected misses

This is what the

Flow of life

 all about

To prepare for these catches and misses

Is what this living all about??

Goals

The eager anticipation

In the quest for a goal

Or is it the process itself

Of aiming for the goal

Where you have put your heart and soul

All focus and energies

Aiming for the goal

Who cares about the question

As long as the goal is met

DESTINY

The force of destiny

Has lot of force

To define your life

To take it in a direction

Which you never thought of

Is it really??

You could still move with the force

Yet decide to swim with the flow

Against the tide at times

To begin with who knew to swim

Learnt swimming

In this force

And paved a new way

To create our own

Destiny

In Motion

The surprises that life throws

At you can be overwhelming

At times

At times to be taken in your stride

To pretend as if nothing has happened

As life has to move on

The wheel called time moves on

No one has time

To wait and moan for you

In the swirling merry go around

That never waits

Just moves on

Sometimes in routine motion

And then surprise movements

That cease to be a surprise after sometime 

Back after a long time !! US ramblings

It definitely does not seem like yesterday . The last blog posting I made was a few years back . A lot of water has flown under the bridge as they say in these years . Hope to be more consistent going ahead as all my friends insist I should be ..:)

Here are a few poems I wrote during my recent trip to USA- coffee etc and its spelling etc did not bother me much...

The Statue

The great statue of liberty and enlightenment

Swinging with the winds and the changing times

Reminds

Us that freedom is not free

But it is important

To break the shackles

Both within and outside

That’s the time when

The real liberation

Happens

Both from within and outside

The internal outdated thoughts and patterns

The outside distractions and obstacles

And even screaming priorities

Its upto to you

To choose, select

Or just do a ctrl+alt+del

That’s creating your

Personal statue of liberty

That stands tall and mighty

In the ocean of life

Learning to Relax

I am learning to relax .

To look at things and not think .

To see and yet not reflect .

To enjoy the sun ,the wind ,the chill

and yet not dwell about any hidden meaning .

to simply live in the casualness of the Moment

and enjoy this beautiful

Journey called life that goes from one destination to another

 I Am learning to enjoy the moments

Without any learning  

Water..

By the Brooklyn water front and bridge

The water front resonates with me

the ripples are like the hundreds of thoughts coming to my mind time and again

some reach the shores

some don't or do they .

That's the mirror of the mind -the water front

There are embankments

And some open areas

We don't know when 

The flood happens though

Most of the times it's calm

Seemingly Calm

A thousand waves are created and broken

 in this calm Mind daily

My Selfie Moments

I have had my selfie moments with myself and my thoughts . Uninterrupted undiluted me .

That's working to understand the real me .

The stuff that I hide from myself

the things I just want to keep below the carpet

In the womb of time .

I wish they weren't there but they do gnaw

I better deal with them.

It's these selfie moments which show the real picture warts and all the blemishes sans make up that's what I sought

In the crowds of Manhattan

The cheers and claps at Broadway

The causal conversations and aimless walks there was an aim

For sure 

Back after a long time …..

It took so much time to get back to blogging . There was too much on my platter ..
But at least I am back .One thing that comes to my mind when we talk about finding time for things is the amount of time we spend on phone calls . We cannot invariably forget the numerous unsolicited calls these days due to the last minute rush of various companies related to sales of personal investment product and services . As a result one is subject to ruthless calling for mainly insurance or other financial products . And not to forget credit cards – you might be in a meeting and suddenly there is a call : we are pleased to tell you that your card has been upgraded . Well it could be a great distraction at times . But these are the outcomes of a booming economy where consumerism is on the upswing .
